Make Presidents Day fun and engaging with this write the room activity. Get your students moving and hunting for the different American Presidents cards. This is a great addition to your Presidents Day activities, as well as giving your students the chance to work on their reading and writing skills and learning about different American Presidents. The recording sheets come in 2 different options of numbers 1-10 and 1-20 as well as in 2 different ability levels - plain boxes to write the answers in or boxes with handwriting lines for students to write in. Each image is linked to the theme of American Presidents and all images can be seen in the preview of this resource. This will be an excellent addition to your American Presidents topic and expand your students knowledge while allowing them to move around. These St Patrick’s Day 2D shape activities are the perfect way for your students to work on their 2d shape recognition skills. These task cards are an engaging and hands-on addition to your math centers and will give your students plenty of opportunity to work on recognising different 2D shapes and match them to a different image of the 2D shape. These task cards come in 2 different levels; Level 1 - matching identical 2D shape images Level 2 - match basic shapes to St Patrick’s 2D shape images. Each task card contains a shamrock or coin in the form of different 2d shapes. There are 13 different task cards/2D shapes included in each level = a total of 26 different task cards for you to use in your math centers. Students can either use a dry wipe pen or clothing peg to select their answer out of 2 (level 1) or 3 (level 2) options. This frog themed activity is a great way for your students to work on their colour sorting / color sorting skills. This resource can either be used as a simple colour matching activity where students have to match the same colour frog to the lily pad, or you can use the instruction task cards included. The instruction task cards contain a small instruction (with symbol support) for students to read/listen to and then follow. For example ‘put 3 blue frogs on the green lily pad.’ The task cards are a great way to see if your students are not only able to read the instruction, but to also take meaning and understanding from it and know what to do next. The vocabulary is suitable for American or British classrooms. (Color, Colour etc.) Instructions • Print out the lily pad pages and laminate them. • Print out the frogs, cut them out individually and laminate them. • Print out the task cards if using and laminate them. • Students can then either match the colour frogs to the matching lily pad or use the instruction task cards to complete the activity.

Hand out the bingo boards to players. Provide players with a set of bingo cover ups or manipulatives. Use any of the 3 types of flashcards to call out the feelings. If students have the same feeling on their board, they cover it up. The first student to cover all their feelings on their board shouts ‘Bingo’ and they are the winner. Other Uses Although this is a bingo pack, the activities included can be used in a range of others ways too, such as; Discussion. Look at the flashcards. Think of a reason that the boy/girl may feel like that. Questions. Lay out some different flashcards. “If I bought you an ice cream, but then you dropped it on the floor, how do you think you would feel?” And the student points to or selects one of the feelings on the flashcards. Matching. A simple matching game. Match the flashcards to the images on the bingo boards. . This activity is a fun and engaging way to help students work on and understand different feelings and emotions. Instructions Print out the bingo boards, flashcards and bingo cover ups that you’ll be using. Print out a set of bingo cover ups for each child. Decide which flashcard you will use and then print. Laminate the bingo boards. Cut up and laminate the flashcards and bing cover ups then, laminate them.

This resource contains 25 different animal matching poke cards. Students have to match the skin of the animal to the correct animal out of a choice of 3 below. Simply put an object/coffee stirrer etc. through the hole to select the answer. Students can self check their answers and also record their answers on a recording sheet. Instructions 1. Print out the cards onto card stock - 4 per page. 2. Laminate each of the cards. 3. Hole punch each of the cards on the + sign with a single-hole puncher. 4. Turn each card over and use a marker to circle the hole that corresponds with the correct answer. 5. (Optional) Hole punch each card in the upper left hand corner so that you can keep them altogether with a keyring. 6. Find coffee stirrers or cupcake picks for your students to use as ‘safe pokers’ An answer key is included for you to be able to check students answers quickly.
